Though her yogic path of studies began back in 1981, a spinal injury at the age of 16 ended up being the root of what brought her to train and teach yoga to others.

Based on her own healing routine and work with hundreds of others with low back pain and injury, Raven authored the book:

Back to Balance: Heal Your Spine, Heal Your Life.

(Smartbird Publications, July 2013).

"My passion is showing others how to heal themselves and manage their pain through regular Acupuncture treatments, yoga classes and simple diet and lifestyle changes. All you need is the desire to heal and the willpower to stick with a program."

She currently practices gentle classical Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture and specializes in treating women's health issuesneurological disorders (MS, stroke recovery, Parkinson's Disease, etc.) and low back and neck pain.  As a clinical intern and assistant, she has worked at Boston Medical Center in the Pediatric Pain Clinic, the PICU and NICU, as well as Family Medicine; she also interned at Element Care Clinic in Lynn, working with seniors and elders in the PACE program.

For babies, toddlers and kids under 10 years old, Raven developed AcuPoint Therapy for Kids(tm), which is an effective, gentle, needle-free method of treatment.
